What wrestling stubs sell for

Real offers I have made in the last year. Condition, rarity and the event itself all move the number, so treat this as a rough guide rather than a price list.

WrestleMania I - 1985

Madison Square Garden

$500 - $1,500+

Early WrestleMania tickets

WrestleMania II-VI era

$100 - $500+

Historic debut / championship matches

Hogan, Undertaker, Rock, Austin and other
major stars

$50 - $500+

1980s WWF Madison Square Garden events

Hogan-era house shows and televised events

$10 - $75+

1990s-2000s common WWF/WWE

Regular events and bulk collections

$2 - $15 each

Disclaimer: These are examples, not a price list. The value of a ticket can vary dramatically based on the event, date, rarity, condition, whether it is a full ticket or stub, and other factors. Even tickets from ordinary games or concerts can sometimes be valuable because of something historic that happened that day. Send us photos of your collection and we'll research it for free.

What makes a wrestling stub valuable

Four things, roughly in order of how much they matter.

The card

A title change, a famous match or a first appearance is what collectors look for.

The promotion

Territory promotions sold far fewer tickets than the national shows, so fewer stubs survive.

The venue

Madison Square Garden, the Boston Garden and the old regional arenas all draw interest.

Full ticket or stub

A ticket never torn at the door is scarcer than the stub half, sometimes by a wide margin.

Also happy to look at

Programs, ringside passes, closed-circuit tickets for big events shown in theatres, and cards from promotions that no longer exist.

Closed-circuit tickets are rare and often overlooked. If yours names a theatre instead of an arena, send it.

"Hi, my name is Robert Araghi. If you have some old or new ticket stubs to sell, there's a website out there called Dave Buys ticket Stubs. He buys all... of them. Concerts, memorabilia, even wrestling. All you have to do is upload some pictures of the ticket stubs. Dave will check them out. They'll send you a price. If you like the price, there are multiple ways of getting paid. I just finished a deal with him and it was quick and easy. So check out his site. You won't be disappointed.[Read more]"

This is Chris. I'm a satisfied customer of Dave Buys Ticket Stubs. I've had two transactions with Dave now. I've been very impressed... by both his prompt returns and replies to my proposals and certainly the price he's given me for what I've given him. That includes a couple of batches of sports tickets, football, baseball and a few other things in there. Highly recommend him. Give him a shot at what you've got.[Read more]"

Wrestling questions I get asked

Are closed-circuit tickets worth anything?

Often more than the arena tickets from the same night, because so few were printed and kept.

My stub is from a small local show.

Send it. Local territory cards are exactly what a lot of collectors are trying to find.

What about tickets signed by wrestlers?

A signature can add value, but it depends on who signed and whether it can be trusted. Send a clear photo and I will tell you what I think.

Ready to find out what yours are worth?

Send a few photos and I’ll come back with a number. No fees, no obligation.
