Phone photos are fine. Lay the stubs flat in good light, a few at a time.

"My name is Dave and I've had the pleasure of working with Dave of Dave Buys Tickets. I'm selling some of my... concert and sports related ticket stubs as well as few of the autograph footballs that I have. Dave has been very, very professional in our dealings, very courteous, very responsive, very fair in his assessments and his pricing. Communications between the two of us have been fantastic. I wholly recommend doing business with Dave in the future.[Read more]"

Why you can hand these to a stranger

You’ve had these stubs for forty years. It’s fair to want to know who’s on the other end of the screen before you mail them anywhere.

    You're paid before you ship

Choose PayPal or Venmo and the money is in your account before a single stub leaves your house.

    I show my math

Every offer comes with what each stub sold for recently, so you can check the number yourself.

Shipping is on me, both ways

Prepaid, insured labels. If anything isn't as expected, the stubs go straight back at my cost.

    Nothing is binding

An offer is a number, not a contract. Turn it down and your photos are deleted.

"I wanted to let everyone know that Dave is an asset to his craft. He actually cares! I had a smooth, pleasant transaction with him. The communication was great, I sent pictures of my stubs, he liked what he saw and we made a deal. The funds, plus the shipping cost, were in my account so fast. All positive vibes and I would highly recommend him."

"This was a great experience. The price was fair and Dave's communication was spot on. Never too much and never too little, and always prompt when responding.

If I decide to sell more ticket stubs, my first call would be to Dave. I would highly recommend Dave and his service."

I went to all the concerts back in the 60s, 70s, 80s. I had a whole bunch of ticket stubs. And what do you do with them at some point? Well, there's... a guy named Dave, and he's a collector, and he bought my ticket stubs. And I am so happy. They went to somebody that actually appreciates ticket stubs from the old days, the good old days. So if you've got stubs laying around, get a hold of Dave. He's a good guy. Couldn't have had a better experience. Thank you, Dave.[Read more]"

What happens after you hit send

No surprises and no phone calls you didn’t ask for. Here’s the whole thing, start to finish, and you can stop at any point along the way.

    Right away

    I confirm I have it

You get a short note saying your photos arrived and roughly when to expect the offer. Usually the same day.

    A day or two

    The offer arrives

You're going to receive a confirmation that we've received your photographs. Your collection will be reviewed by a ticket expert, and an offer will be sent.

    Whenever suits you

    You decide

Take a day, take a month, talk it over with family. There is no expiry date and I will not chase you.

    After you accept

    Paid, then posted

PayPal and Venmo sellers are paid first. I send a printable label, or extra to cover postage if you would rather use your own.

Say no at any step and that is the end of it. Your photos are deleted and you will not hear from me again.

    Meet Dave

You’re dealing with one person, start to finish

I read every form myself, price every stub myself, and send every offer myself. There is no call centre and nobody else handling your photos.

Between us we hold more than 300,000 stubs, the earliest dating back to 1908. That is why I can tell you what yours are worth rather than guess.

"If I wouldn't pay it for my own collection, I won't offer it to you."

    Questions before you send photos

How do I know this isn't a scam?

Fair question, and you should ask it. Choose PayPal or Venmo and you are paid before you ship anything. Every offer shows the recent sale prices behind it, my Google reviews are public, and if you decline, your photos are deleted.

What if I don't like the offer?

Then say no. Nothing happens, nothing is owed, and I won't keep coming back to you about it.

    How do I get paid?

PayPal, Venmo, Zelle or a paper check, whichever you prefer. PayPal and Venmo are paid before shipping. Zelle and check go out the same day your stubs arrive.

Mine are torn and faded. Are they still worth anything?

Often yes. Condition matters, but a torn stub from a famous game beats a perfect one from an ordinary night. Send the photo and let me look.

    How should I ship them?

I email a printable, insured label and one page of instructions, or send extra to cover postage if you would rather use your own packaging.

    What happens to my details?

Nothing is shared or sold, ever. If you decline an offer your photos and contact details are deleted.

Rather show me than send photos?

Book a free 15-minute appraisal call and we’ll go through the collection together.
